Dr John White
While most recently active in the resources, waste-recycling and carbon-farming sectors, Dr John White has an extensive background in defence, notably over 10 years as Chief Executive of Transfield Defence Systems, with responsibilities including international business development and operations of Transfield Shipbuilding in Victoria, Western Australia and New Zealand.
He was responsible for privatisation of the Williamstown Naval Dockyard, Australian Frigate Project, and tendering and implementation of the $5 billion ANZAC Frigate Project.
John has been a Director of a number of publicly listed Australian companies, was formerly Chairman of the Federal Government’s Uranium Industry Council, was a member of the Defence Procurement Board, and is a founding member of the Nuclear Fuel Leasing Group.
He brings to the board high-level strategic defence experience coupled with strong commercial expertise and experience.
