SOUTH AUSTRALIA WINS ANOTHER DEFENCE CONTRACT
Deputy Premier Kevin Foley today welcomed the announcement that South Australian based BAE Systems has been declared preferred tenderer fpr a major slice of the $3 billion defence contract Project land 121 Overlander.

AIR WARFARE DESTROYERS - THE FOUNDATION LAID
I am pleased to announce the signing of the final contracts to build three Air Warfare Destroyers (AWDs) for the Royal Australian Navy. At a total cost of approximately $8 billion, this is the largest naval shipbuilding project ever undertaken in Australia.

LOCAL FIRM SELECTED TO DEVELOP $100 MILLION AWD SHIPYARD
Following last weeks announcement of the selection of Navantias Existing design for Australias Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program, shipbuilder ASC has today awarded its first major contract for the Programs $100 million shipyard to South Australian firm Hansen Yuncken.
