ROLLS ROYCE SIGNS UP TO $50 M DEAL TO BUILD TECHPORT AUSTRALIA SHIPLIFT
Premier Mike Rann announced today that Rolls Royce Marine had won a $50 million contract to build what will eventually be the largest shiplift in the Southern Hemisphere neede to vuild the Navy's three $6 billion Air Warefare Destroyers.

SKILLING AUSTRALIAS DEFENCE INDUSTRY PROGRAM PROVIDES VITAL SUPPORT TO MILITARY SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
The Minister Assisting the Minister for Defence Bruce Billson today officially launched SkillingAustralias Defence Industry Agreements between a group of industry partners (BAE Systems Australia, Saab Systems and ASC) and Defence that will establish a newly developed Master of Engineering degree in Military Systems Integration in Adelaide.

SA COMPANIES ALREADY WINNING FROM AWD PROJECT
Acting Premier Kevin Foley says more than $7 million worth of contracts have been awarded in South Australia since the beginning of the year mostly to local companies - as a result of the Air Warfare Destroyer project.

FIRST AWD CONTRACT LET
Deputy Premier Kevin Foley says Techport Australia, which will be the home of the $6 billion Air Warfare Destroyer Contract, has taken a significant step forward today with the awarding of a contract to McConnell Dowell/Built Environs Joint Venture to start design work on the project.
